Ok, I think I’m onto a new trend here. Edible jewelry. I also think I’ve reached a new level of nerdyness. I just realized that I made a friggin chain out of pancakes. Allie thought it was pretty cool though, she wanted to wear it all day but it broke. Next time I’ll have to use my load-bearing pancake mix.
The process was pretty time consuming, I had to make a bunch of “C” shapes and then cook them together one at a time. My wife couldn’t believe that I wasted 2 hours of my Saturday on this project, but c’mon…who else has a sweet pancake necklace?

LMAO ! This one is fucking genius !
Awesomeness. Pure awesomeness.
This made my night! My boyfriend often calls me the pancake, so I extra appreciate this!
OH WOW JIM (IS THAT YOUR REAL NAME? IT SEEMS NOT REAL).
HOLY BAJESUS THIS IS THE COOLEST WEBSITE EVER.
I LOVE PANCAKES.
I think now might be a good time to not write in capital letters. But really, this is the coolest site. This is so cool I can’t think of any words cool enough for it. When I first moved out of home all I ate for a month was pancakes. I really like pancakes.
Choice one Jim.
Wow! Just found your site by way of notmartha.org . This is brilliant. It helps that your sous chef is precious! (I can’t wait to make the crab – I have a big fan of spingebob and mr. Krab)
This site is wicked cool, I would have never thought to use a squeeze bottle for pancake art. The bling and the crane are definitely my favorites so far. Can’t wait to see what you do next.
How about a hippo pancake?
I just found your blog and it is wonderful! I love your pancakes!!!
You are a master of the pancakes!!
This blog is cool!
This is great stuff, can’t wait to try it out with my kids. Could you please post your various recipes (such as the load bearing one). Thanks!
I also found your site via notmartha…. Love it! I posted a featured today with a link to your site on my column (ediblecrafts.craftgossip.com). Thanks for the pancake inspiration!
Hahaha….you are too frickin funny. I almost spit out my coffee when I came across this post on Craft Gossip! I dare you to wear that out the next time you decide to hit the town
Jim, you are 100% kick-ass. Your daughter is so lucky to have such a hilarious dad. Nice one!
This is my favorite so far. way to think outside the plate!

Genius!! What great ideas! I’m going to make pancakes tomorrow morning, lol..I never thought about adding food coloring! Thanks Jim!
I’m also trying some natural food colorings…blueberries, beet juice, sweet potatoes…not sure how it’ll affect the flavor though.
totally worth 2 hours! there’s so much you can do w/batter, time & determination! FUN! (I see good things happening in your future.)
I saw your cool pancakes today and they just happened to amuse me. But I think your daughter would really enjoy eating a pancake with her face on it, if you haven’t already done so— I know I would!
So super cool — but this might just be my favorite.
no, WAIT…THIS is my fave!
Love the website and photos! BTW, fb f8 employee shirt?
You’re hot.
Nice pancakes, too.
