Ryan’s First Pancakes!

Ryan's first pancakes

Some of you might not know that Allie has a little brother, Ryan. I guess he’s been left out of this blog since he doesn’t eat pancakes…until today! Turns out he absolutely loves them. I made a bunch of simple pancakes about the size of a quarter and he devoured them then promptly took a really long nap. BEST BABY FOOD EVER.

Next time I’m going to combine them with his 2nd favorite food, applesauce.

p.s. now that your son is a pancake eater, so your motto should be: just trying to make some cool pancakes for my kids. that would be better. :D

My almost-10-month old loves pancakes! Although he has only had them once, he totally loved every single bite. We’re planning on making a family pancake breakfast on Christmas morning. We can’t wait!

I make these “dot” pancakes for my kids all the time. LOVE them. I use a round lefse grill, and it works perfectly. I like to make a gazillion of them at a time and freeze them. Instant pancakes when we are in our usual morning rush. :) Keep the posts coming. I love following your pancake adventures. :)

He is adorable! I used to eat pancakes like that until my teens. haha I called them “rice krispies” and at them on the side of the normal pancakes.
    Very cool!

Applesauce is so good on pancakes!! Especially if you spread a layer of peanut butter on the pancakes before you put the applesauce on. :)

We use pancakes to sneak all sorts of good things into our kids bellies (3 & 1 yr old)
Sweet potato pancakes are especially popular – Older son calls them Orange Pancakes.
We also make pancakes with OJ instead of Milk.

So many ways to make the pancake a superfood

It took a few tries, but I came up with a delicious low-fat pancake and waffle recipe that my kids love. I always serve it with unsweetened applesauce loaded on top and a sprinkle of cinnamon, and while the complain about not getting syrup, they still devour the stacks I put in front of them.

    Great site!

Just found your site from Be Different…Act Normal

You are freaking awesome. I love your site!! I tweeted it out to my friends and subscribed in my RSS reader. I can’t wait to see all your future creations!

Side note, but I think it’s a shame you don’t have any ads on your site! You could be making so much money. Let me know if you want a referral link to my ad network. Google adsense is pretty good too. :)

Love your blog! I’m your newest fan.
